Architectural Glories

Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India Central Secretariat, the state Office Buildings Parliament House a circular edifice. Housing the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, from together a self contained group of Principal building unique in magnificence, dignity and grandeur. India Gate of War Memorial Arch on the Rajpath. Church of Redemption facing Central Secretariat, all India Radio Broadcasting House on the Parliament Street, Roman Catholic Church near New Delhi G.P.O., National Stadium a sports gallery on the Rajpath, near India Gate, are equally impressive and represent systematically planned modern architectural glories of New Delhi.

Red Fort

The massive Red Fort, so called for the color of its exterior and formerly the most magnificent Royal place of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, was completed in 1648 AD There are two museums in the fort --- The Delhi Fort Museum of Archaeology and Delhi War memorial Museum, Don't miss to see the fort from inside.

Old Fort

The ancient old fort (Purana Quila) is the strong hold which Humayun, the Mughal Emperor started in the 1530 AD and Sher Shah Suri completed in 1541 AD.

Its relies, the Sher Shah Mousque a classical example of the artistry of the Hindu Afghan School and the Sher Mandal, a small two storeyed octagonal edifice, are good specimens of Hindu - Muslim style of building and reflect the ancient architectural stringency and masterly art work.
Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid is the biggest and most beautiful historical mosque in India. The foundation stone was laid on 6th Oct. 1650 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and was completed in 1658 AD.

This greatest mosque is unique in beauty and stands as a symbol of eloquence of refinement of characteristic excellent art of Mughal architecture. Distance: 6.4 Kms. (4miles).
Laxmi Narayan Mandir

The laxmi narayan mandir, commonly known as Birla Mandir is the finest of its type in India. This temple was built in 1938 AD by Raja Baldev Das Birla and is an architectural masterpiece of the modern time, giving a true picture of ancient Hindu culture. Beautiful paintings on the ceiling, extracts from Hindu mythology are inscribed on the walls and upper gallery.
Qutab Minar  

Qutab Minar, an architectural wonder and the Glory of India, is believed to be the tallest tower in the world. It is 72.085 meters high with 378 steps. It stands unique as a feat of engineering amidst the colossal ruins of Qila Rai Pithora near Mehrauli.

Tradition says Qutab Minar originally known as Vijay Stamph, was built by the last Hindu king Prithvi Raj Chauhan and was remodell-ed in 1199 AD by Qutab-u-din-Aibak. The second and third storeys were added by his successor Altmash (1210-1236 AD) while the fourth to fifth storeys were built 1370 AD by Feroz Shah Tughlak. Distance: 144 Kms. (9 miles).
Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat amidst beautiful parks, is situated on Ring Road, outside Delhi Gate. Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation was consigned to celestial flames here on 31st January, 1948. It has today become National Shrine and a monument of international fame. Distance: 4 Kms. (2.5 miles).
Shanti Vana & Vijay Ghat

There is still so much left to see most tourists who go first to Raj Ghat and to nearby Shanti Vana and Vijay Ghat to make their Pilgrimage to the spots sacred to the memory of Late Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri.
Shakti Sthal & Veer Bhumi

Shakti Sthal is the place where late prime minister Smt. Indira Gandhi was criminated on 30th Oct. 1984. She was the most promnant political lady of India has born. After few years of his mother Rajiv Gandhi was sloughter by terrorist in South India & his body was brought in Delhi & criminated here. Homoage to by policians at Veer Bhoomi.
Lal Mandir

Lal Mandir in Chandni Chowk is a Jain Temple has a big hospital for birds opp. Red Fort.
Lotus Temple

This Lotus Temple was built by Bhai Sect of the devotees, is located just behind the man commercial centre of Nehru Place. This beautiful blooming Lotus Temple is surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens & is nice place to worth visit.
Fairs & Festivals 

Delhi is the richest city with Indian festivals and fairs. In the city you can enjoy the festival every month. Delhi Tourism Organises Mango Festival in May-June. In July - Raksha Bandhan is highly pure & Pious festivals for sisters, because they tie Rakhi to their brothers.

After this festivals falls Janamashtmi in August is devoted to birthday of Lord Krishna. The temple of the whole city are well decorated & lightened to give feast to the devotees.

The month of September brings the festivals of Hindu's Dushehra which is celebrated upto 10 days. In every day you can enjoy the Jhankis of Ram-Sita-Lakshman & Hanuman & the last day Shri Ram brunt the Rawan, the incarnation of evil.

The month of October brings the most happiest festivals of young & old called Diwali it is the festival of Ganesh & Laxmi. On this day in every home the ideals of Ganesh & Laxmi are worshipped with sweets & money.
