Himachal
Pradesh ( Dharmsala )
The
principal township Kangra is a fascinating place.
To begin with, it is spread over a height
difference of over 450 meters.
The
upper and lower parts of the town are poised on a
spur of the Dhauladhar mountains, which surround
Dharamsala on three side, is a majestic backdrop.
Dense pine forests carpet the hill sides, making
the road between the twin town a delight to travel
on. Here is a charming town with its bungalows
tucked into confier forests.
A
road that sankers upward provides home to the
Dalai, the spiritual head of the Buddhists. This is
an enchanting world, with the magic of prayer
flags, Tibetan restaurants & Buddhist
souvenirs. Kangra Valley is known for its numerous
Hindu temples, among which are Jawalamukhi and
Baijnath. Yet another town a mid forested hillside
is Palampur where the industry of tea and
sericulture have mushroome.
