The Ganga, after hurling through narrow gartges stretches its shores wider as if not to disturb the solitude of the mendicant. Sal forests just at short distance away from the city make it a delightful place to be in communion with Nature and God.

LAXMAN JHOOLA

A suspension bridge across the Ganga which spans the river along the old foot-route to the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. Rhesus monkeys throng the bridge demanding their share of the offerings from the pilgrims.
